Guided by our vision of a world where no one is left behind, we promote inclusion, human rights, and global collaboration. In 2026, we launched our Global Headquarters and membership program, and we welcome individuals and organizations around the world to join us in building a more inclusive future.

Participation in the 19th Session of the Conference of States Parties to the CRPD (COSP19)
From June 9 to 11, 2026, we participated in COSP19 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. As 2026 marks the 20th anniversary of the CRPD, the conference brought together governments, the CRPD Committee, IDA, OPDs, and global stakeholders to discuss progress, challenges, and the future of disability inclusion. Through COSP19, we gained valuable insights and strengthened international networks to advance inclusion in Japan and support the Global Disability Summit Asia Regional Summit 2027 Tokyo.
Participation and Presentation at NGO CSW70 in New York
On March 12, 2026, PEACE INCLUSION PIECE (PIP) participated in NGO CSW70 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. Chitose Namboku delivered a presentation on “Inclusive Justice for Women,” focusing on the rights, participation, and decision-making opportunities of women with disabilities. The session provided a valuable opportunity to exchange views and reaffirm the importance of continued collaboration toward inclusive justice.
Participation and Presentation at the 34th Session of the UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in Geneva
On March 9, 2026, PEACE INCLUSION PIECE (PIP) participated in the opening session of the 34th Session of the UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD Committee) at the United Nations Office at Geneva. During the session, Chitose Namboku and Deputy Representative Director Shiko Kurihara presented PIP's vision and activities, while engaging with Committee members and international stakeholders. PIP will continue to strengthen global partnerships and advance disability inclusion toward a world where no one is left behind.
Singapore × Japan Inclusion Dialogue 2026 Held at Enabling Village in Singapore
On February 4, 2026, PEACE INCLUSION PIECE (PIP) held the Singapore × Japan Inclusion Dialogue 2026 at UOB Ability Hub Hall, Enabling Village, Singapore. Under the theme “Inclusive Asia: Co-Creation and Empowerment,” participants from Singapore and Japan exchanged views on advancing inclusion, empowerment, and regional collaboration. The dialogue reaffirmed the importance of cross-border and cross-sector partnerships in building a more inclusive Asia.
About the Robert Martin Award
The Robert Martin Award honors the achievements of Sir Robert Martin, the first person with an intellectual disability to serve on the United Nations Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. The award was established with the approval of Vice Chair Amalia Gamio, the Government of New Zealand, and Sir Robert Martin’s family to promote the inclusion and leadership of persons with intellectual disabilities worldwide.
UN Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai – UNV Talk Show Participation
On May 24, 2025, Chitose Namboku, Representative Director of PEACE INCLUSION PIECE (PIP), participated as a panelist at the United Nations Pavilion during Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai. The session, organized by the United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme, explored the role of equity, diversity, and participation in creating a society where everyone can thrive.
Presentation at the United Nations Office at Geneva
On March 3, 2025, we participated in the opening ceremony of the UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities at the United Nations Office at Geneva. During the session, we presented our organization’s founding principles and activities to the international community. It was also announced that the Vice Chair of the CRPD Committee had been appointed as our Honorary Chairperson. We will continue working with international partners to promote the rights, inclusion, and dignity of persons with disabilities worldwide.
International Art Exhibition at Berlin Brandenburg Airport
From March 31 to April 4, 2025, an international art exhibition featuring works by artists with disabilities was held at Berlin Brandenburg International Airport in Germany. A total of 249 artworks from 15 countries were displayed on digital screens throughout the airport, sharing the creativity and perspectives of artists with disabilities with travelers from around the world. Through international airports, we will continue to promote inclusive art and share its message globally.
PEACE INCLUSION PIECE Exhibition at the GDS Berlin Global Summit
From April 1 to 3, 2025, PEACE INCLUSION PIECE (PIP) presented an exhibition at the Global Disability Summit 2025 in Berlin, Germany. The exhibition featured artworks and messages created by persons with disabilities from around the world, highlighting the themes of peace, coexistence, diversity, and dignity. Through this opportunity, PIP shared the power of inclusive expression and reaffirmed the importance of global collaboration toward a society where everyone is seen, heard, and respected.
